Financial Strategies That Thrive On Musical Mastery

WHY I STARTED TRADING
I have always had an interest in learning more about the financial markets. After being furloughed from my job at the Chicago Lyric Opera due to the Covid pandemic, I enrolled in as many trading courses as I could and discovered a true passion for market analysis, market profile software, and developing and backtesting profitable trading strategies in the S and P 500 and Nasdaq futures markets.
My Story
My name is Dionne Jackson and I am a Juilliard trained musician, a Fulbright Scholar, and a First Prize recipient from the Paris Conservatory of Music. In 2020, after 20 years as a professional flutist with the Chicago Lyric Opera, the opera shut down and suddenly we were furloughed without pay due to the Covid pandemic. I soon realized that if I didn't find a new income stream, my family would lose our home and I would no longer be able to keep two of my four children in college.
Needing to use my time off wisely, I began studying the financial markets intensely. I completed all the online courses with famed futures expert Mr. Jim Dalton. After hearing my story about single parenting four children and the cancellation of the 2020 Lyric Opera season, he made a very generous offer to coach me at no cost. Mr. Dalton already had a successful former musician named Peter Reznicek obtain huge success as a trader. We soon discovered that being a professional musician and reading charts in the financial markets have many similarities. Because of my lifelong musical training, I can quickly recognize patterns as they develop and create substantial profits from them. As it requires a significant amount of capital to trade, I am fortunate that some of my closest friends and family members were willing to invest capital so I could open my own brokerage account. My long term goals for my fund include two philanthropic initiatives: offering scholarships to musicians and artists, and offering financial assistance to single moms in need. These initiatives are close to my heart. It was only through scholarships and grants that I was able to attend The Juilliard School, The Paris Conservatory, and world renowned music festivals such as the Tanglewood Music Center. Without these scholarship opportunities, I could have never succeeded in my musical career.
My long terms goals for Harmonic Trading LLC include paying it forward by sharing a portion of profits from trading while educating the younger generation about the importance of investing early and consistently to create future financial security.
Trading Strategies
Indicators used to confirm trades: Ichimoku Cloud, Relative Strength Index, and Volume Profile
Software: Market Profile Software by Windotrader
Counter Auction to Overnight Inventory
Strategy #1
Analyze the overnight market activity and confirm if ONI (Overnight Inventory) is long or short compared to the settle of the previous days close. If it is determined that ONI is 100% long or 100% short, there is a 70% probability for a counter auction at the market open to rebalance overnight inventory. Trade in the direction to rebalance inventory and place your protective stop at the nearest major support or resistance level as seen on the Market Profile.
Flag/Consolidation Breakouts
Strategy #2
Watch for consolidation on a 10 or 15 minute chart. Draw a trendline around the consolidation area and
check IR (Informational Relationships) to see if the market bias is long or short and confirm with the MGI (Market Generated Information). Only take trades that are in confluence with the IR. Place a protective stop loss stop at the other end of the consolidation area and buy the break out by placing a buy limit just above or below the flag consoldation pattern.
Retest/Failure
(aka ABC Trades)
Strategy #3
Watch for the market to put in an extreme at the high or the low of the day. Watch a 15 minute chart and wait for 4-6 bars on the 15 minute chart to close and confirm a retest of the extreme on the Market Profile. If the retest candle closes red or green (depending on if it's a test of the high or the low), put your stop above the extreme and trade in the direction of the retest/failure also known as the ABC trade.
Harmonic Trading LLC invests in and educates around derivatives products and futures equity indices that trade on margin. Futures trading is not for everyone and involves risk. Please consider carefully whether futures are appropriate for your financial situation.
